The American Association of Endocrine Surgeons is pleased to announce the 2025-2026 Visiting Professorship Program. We have made significant changes this year, please see below for details.This program is designed to increase the national visibility of rising stars in endocrine surgery by offering the opportunity to be an invited speaker at one of the country’s premier institutions. The Visiting Professorships are open to Active members of the AAES who are faculty members at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
There will be 2 categories of applicants- Early-career (first 4-7 years of practice) and Mid-career (first 8-15 years of practice). We ENCOURAGE re-applications if you were not selected in the past.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, 4 individuals will be selected to present at one of the following host institutions. The host institutions will reimburse the awardee’s cost of travel and accommodations.
- Cleveland Clinic
- NYU Langone Medical Center
- University of North Carolina
- University of Rochester
The application requirements include:
- Letter of interest addressing the potential impact of this program on your career.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Proposed Topic(s) - e.g. hot topics or reviews, research, education, etc. Please include 3 educational objectives for each topic.
- 1-to-2-minute video recording of a sample slide from a presentation.
- Ranking of institutions, in order of preference.

The Career Development and Leadership Committee will review all applications and make final determinations regarding the three 2025-2026 Visiting Professors. Applicants will be notified of a decision by February 28, 2025.
