Fellowship Match Program Requirements
To apply for an AAES Comprehensive Clinical Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery, the following items will be required:
- A credit card to pay the $125 (USD) application fee.
- Citizenship/Visa information (if not a U.S. citizen)
- ABSITE scores (U.S. based programs)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Personal statement
- Portrait photo (.jpg only)
- Current Program Director name and email address
- Reference names and email addresses for three letters of recommendation
The online application for the 2022 Match cycle (2023-2024 fellowship year) has now closed. The deadline to apply was April 22, 2022.
2022 Match Timeline
Please note: all Fellow interviews will be conducted virtually.
- Monday, February 14, 2022: Online application site opens.
- Friday, April 22, 2022: Online application site closes.
- Monday, July 11, 2022: Online ranking site opens for Applicants at 9:00 AM CDT.
- Monday, July 18, 2022: Applicant ranks due by 11:59 PM PDT.
- Tuesday, July 19, 2022: Online ranking site opens for Programs at 9:00 AM CDT.
- Tuesday, July 26, 2022: Program rank lists due by 11:59 PM PDT.
- Thursday, July 28, 2022: Any unmatched programs will be notified by 5:00 PM CDT. They will be provided with a list of unmatched candidates and their CVs. (Unmatched programs are NOT to reach out to applicants until Monday at Noon CDT).
- Sunday, July 31, 2022: Unmatched programs who want to participate in a secondary match must notify the Fellowship Chair or Designee before Noon CDT.
- Monday, August 1, 2022: Unmatched candidates will be notified via email at 9:00 AM CDT. If unmatched programs chose to participate in a secondary match the programs and candidates will be allowed to contact each other to fill any available fellowship position at Noon CDT.
- Monday, August 1, 2022: Secondary match site opens at Noon CDT.
- Thursday, August 4, 2022: Secondary match site closes at Noon CDT.
- Friday, August 5, 2022: Match results announced.
