American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE)
The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists is a large organization devoted to the many aspects of clinical endocrinology. Members include adult, pediatric, reproductive and surgical endocrinologists who devote a significant portion of their research and practice to the field of endocrinology. Updated frequently, the AACE website is a large site which provides information for both clinicians and patients, including a referral database which patients can search by location or area of specialty.

American College of Surgeons (ACS)
The American College of Surgeons is the largest scientific and educational association of surgeons which was founded in 1913 to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient by setting high standards for surgical education and practice. This site includes information for Fellows as well as information for patients on choosing a surgeon.

American Medical Association (AMA)
Founded over 150 years ago, AMA's agenda remains focused on their commitment to standards, ethics, excellence in medical education and practice, and advocacy on behalf of the medical profession and the patients it serves. Their extensive website provides information for physicians and patients, including discussion opportunities ethics, policy and advocacy issues. The site also includes a medical society directory, searchable databases of CME courses, residency programs, and a doctor finder with 650,000 doctors in their database.

American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support (AMENSupport)
American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support has a website, www.AMENSupport.org to provide education and support for individuals living with MEN, their families and medical professionals. Our mission is to provide support to the families of and people with MEN.  We accomplish this through public awareness, advocacy and education.  In turn this empowers MEN Families to advocate and make well informed medical decisions in their treatment of MEN care. Our vision is to provide a premier American and International MEN Informational Support Center to keep MEN families and health professionals informed and up to date of the updated and key issues associated with managing the MEN.

American Head and Neck Society (AHNS)
In 1998, the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS) became the single largest organization in North America for the advancement of research and education in head and neck oncology. The merger of two societies, the American Society for Head and Neck Surgery and the Society of Head and Neck Surgeons, formed the American Head and Neck Society.

Association for Academic Surgery (AAS)
The mission of the AAS is to inspire and develop young academic surgeons.

American Society of Clinical Oncology
The American Society of Clinical Oncology website, ASCO OnLine, is an interactive resource for oncology professionals and cancer patients. ASCO OnLine provides a range of professionally edited information, as well as interactive services for ASCO members, such as virtual meetings with other members. You can also view the full text of the ASCO's peer reviewed journal, Journal of Clinical Oncology.

American Thyroid Association (ATA)
The American Thyroid Association is the leading organization focused on thyroid biology and the prevention and treatment of thyroid disorders through excellence and innovation in research, clinical care, education, and public health. Founded in 1923 as the American Goiter Association, the ATA is a nonprofit professional medical society comprised of physicians and scientists dedicated to enhancing the understanding of thyroid physiology and pathophysiology, improving diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases, and promoting the education of physicians, patients, and the public about thyroid disorders. 

Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AsAES)
Lead by IAES members, the Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons was established to help train knowledgeable specialist endocrine surgeons in both Asian and Western countries alike, in 1988, following the founding of similar regional and domestic associations of endocrine surgeons in countries such as U.S.A., Canada, England, Germany and Scandinavian nations. There site contains information on upcoming meetings.

Association of Women Surgeons (AWS)
The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) is committed to supporting women surgeons at various stages in their career – from medical school through retirement.

Society of Asian Academic Surgeons (SAAS)
The founding of SAAS can be traced to the Presidential Session on Unconscious Bias in Academic Surgery that took place during the 6th Annual Academic Surgical Congress (ASC), directed by then-Society of University Surgeons (SUS) President Dr. Dai Chung. Dr. Don Nakayama presented an eye-opening talk on the lack of Asians in the leadership of American academic surgery, and would later publish that data in the Annals of Surgery. As it turned out, Dr. Chung was the first Asian to ever be elected to the SUS presidency.

Society of Black Academic Surgeons (SBAS)
The Society of Black Academic Surgeons's mission is to improve health, advance science, and foster careers of African American and other underrepresented minority surgeons

Latino Surgical Society (LLS)
Cultivating, nurturing, and supporting the advancement of Latino surgeons.

The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland
The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland was founded in 1920 by a group of leading surgeons of the day. The guiding spirit and inspiration behind the concept was Berkeley Moynihan, later Lord Moynihan of Leeds, who had been struck by the lack of cohesion among surgeons as early as 1909. He wrote that "surgeons in one town knew little or nothing of surgeons elsewhere. A surgeon from Manchester had never visited an operation theatre in Leeds, nor had ever been asked in consultation. As a consequence it was not infrequent to have to listen to disparagement of one surgeon by another; and jealousies, openly expressed, were too often heard." The founding objectives of the Association, therefore, were twofold - the advancement of the science and art of surgery and the promotion of friendship amongst surgeons.

Australian Endocrine Surgeons (AES)
Australian Endocrine Surgeons is a society of specialist surgeons that aims to achieve the highest standards in the practice of endocrine surgery.

Brazilian Society of Surgical Endocrinology
On September 5, 2010, during a meeting held at Centro de Eventos da Expogramado (Gramado / RS), amid the 29th Brazilian Congress of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the constitution of the Brazilian Society of Surgical Endocrinology was formalized, with the presence of professionals of many regions of Brazil. During the meeting an exhibition was held about the history of Surgical Endocrinology and / or Endocrine Surgery ever since the foundation of AAES, in 1979, in San Francisco, California (USA). The motivation and the need to create this specialty in Brazil with full integration with clinical endocrinologists (represented by the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabology) were also addressed.

British Assoc of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons (BAETS)
The BAETS is the representative body of British Surgeons who have a specialist interest in surgery of the endocrine glands (thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal). The BAETS is recognized by the Department of Health, the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI) and the British Association of Surgical Oncology (BASO). The BAETS advises the Surgical Accreditation Committee (SAC) of the Intercollegiate Board on the Curriculum for Training in Endocrine Surgery. The Association has an annual meeting, enjoys close affiliation with other National and International Endocrine and Endocrine Surgery Associations and warmly welcomes new members with an interest in endocrine/thyroid surgery.

Endocrine Society
The Endocrine Society is the world's largest and most active professional organization of endocrinologists in the world. Founded in 1916, the Society is internationally known as the leading source of state-of-the art research and clinical advancements in endocrinology and metabolism. The Endocrine Society is dedicated to promoting excellence in research, education and clinical practice in the field of endocrinology.

Graves' Disease and Thyroid Foundation
Diagnosis and treatment of Graves' disease can cause stress, confusion, and even fear of what the future holds for you and your family. The Graves' Disease and Thyroid Foundation's mission is to provide patient services, public education, professional education, and to fund research. Patient programs include a toll-free hotline that provides individual counseling, physician referral, and a bulletin board where anyone can ask questions about the disease. The Graves' Disease and Thyroid Foundation offers support groups that provide educational, psychological and emotional assistance to Graves' patients and family members.

The International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES)
Lead by AAES members, the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons was established to work for endocrine surgery world wide, and to provide a forum for exchange of views of those who are involved in expanding the frontiers of endocrine surgery. Their site is directed toward physicians with information on membership, upcoming meetings and their newsletter.

Pheo Para Alliance
Founded in 2007, the Pheo Para Alliance, a 501c3 organization, is the longest-standing internationally recognized leader in advocacy for, and awareness of, pheochromocytoma (pheo) and paraganglioma (para). Since its inception, the Pheo Para Alliance has dedicated more than $2 million towards research, diagnosis, education, advocacy, and finding a cure. The Pheo Para Alliance mission is to empower patients with pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma, their families and medical professionals through advocacy, education and a global community of support, while helping to advance research that accelerates treatments and cures.

Thyroid Cancer Care Collaborative  (TCCC)
A HIPAA compliant, cloud-based portal and registry that enhances the quality of care for patients with thyroid disease and improves the communication between physicians. The TCCC provides portability of information for patients and centralizes all of their relevant clinical records, allowing the involved clinicians immediate access to critical information for decision making. Data entry modules incorporate time-saving features and focus on specific aspects of thyroid cancer management. The application is also an educational tool for both patients and physicians, delivering informative videos and clinical decision making modules.

Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association (ThyCa)
This site maintains current information about thyroid cancer and support services available to people at any stage of testing, treatment, or lifelong monitoring for thyroid cancer, as well as their caregivers. It receives ongoing input and review from numerous thyroid cancer specialists. This site also serves as a resource for anyone interested in thyroid cancer survivors' issues.

Young Endocrine Surgeons Facebook Page
This page is open to young endocrine surgeons, within their first five years of practice. It is a forum to discuss difficult cases, share varied approach to endocrine disease, and seek advice on building a successful practice. To join, please make a request to the group administrator -- include your name, prior fellowship training,current position, and number of years in practice.
