Social & Sporting Activities

The Local Arrangements Committee has organized the following social and sporting activities for attendees and guests to participate in while in Lexington, KY for the AAES Annual Meeting.

Pickleball:
Friday, April 17, 2026 | 9:00 - 11:00am
Location: TBA indoor facility near downtown

Max of 20 participants, sign up is first come-first served
Cost estimate: $15/participant

Location: Idle Hour Country Club

Max of 14 participants, sign up is first come-first served

Please note: for golf and pickleball, payment will be collected by an AAES volunteer prior to the event (for transfer directly to the venues). You will be contacted in advance of the event to arrange payment. Fees are refundable if you need to cancel or in case of inclement weather.

Welcome Social:
Friday, April 17, 2026 | 8:00 - 10:00pm
Location: Mane on Main
Join us for the official Welcome Social on Friday evening to help kick off the 2026 AAES Meeting! Sample some Kentucky bourbon and gather with your endocrine surgery friends and colleagues The Mane on Main is a quick half-mile walk from the HQ hotel and boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the Lexington skyline!  

Keenland Horse Racing Track

The spring horse racing season at Keenland runs from April 3-24, 2026. AAES is not able to purchase tickets for Annual Meeting attendees to visit Keenland but anyone can purchase tickets on their own. Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 17, 2026 at 9:00 am EST and sell out quickly! Information on how to secure tickets can be found here.
