Breakout Sessions
Breakout Sessions are expert-led, small group interactive learning experiences held throughout the annual meeting alongside the scientific program. We invite our members to propose potential breakout session ideas. In keeping with this year’s focus, Built on Belonging, please aim to be widely inclusive of the expertise in our organization.
Guidelines for submissions are below:
- Provide a session title
- Compose a session description (300-word maximum)
- Propose a brief session structure
- Recommend possible session speakers
- List learning objectives (300-word maximum)
Please note the following:
- Final session content and format will be set by AAES leadership and program committee. There are many sessions to coordinate; there may be modifications to your proposal.
- Recommendations for speakers are appreciated. However, to create an inclusive, diverse slate of speakers, alternatives may also be suggested by the program committee.
- State in the description if the proposal is being submitted on behalf of an AAES committee
Consider a Breakout Session if your proposal includes:
- Interactive learning experiences
- Case-based discussions
- Peer-to-peer learning and exchange
- Focused topic exploration
Proposal Deadline: August 19, 2026
